Yobo will lift the Nations Cup trophy, not me – Vincent Enyeama

Super Eagles stand-in captain,Vincent Enyeama has sensationally declared that it is Joseph Yobo who will go up to the podium and collect the Nations Cup trophy on Sunday, not him should Nigeria defeat the Stallions of Burkina Faso.
Enyeama was reacting to questions when he was asked,if as playing captain,he will be the one to go up and lift the Nations Cup if Nigeria emerges victorious on Sunday.
“Joe is still the captain of the team. I am just acting for him when he is not on the pitch. But when he is on the pitch, he is the leader and captain. Anybody can be captain of the team. In fact, all the players are all captains,” Enyeama said.
“We all have the same purpose, which is to work together for the team’s good,”the former Enyimba goal tender added.
“I do not want to take anybody’s position  and that is the way it is. Joseph is the captain and if we win the final on Sunday, he will go and pick the Cup as captain,” said Enyeama who have conceded four goals in his last five matches.
“He has served Nigeria on a number of occasions and he is the man” Enyeama noted.
It is looking like the 1994 incident, where Stephen Keshi, barely played for Nigeria, but was the one who lifted the trophy for Nigeria.
When asked about his success story at the competition,Enyeama said it came from God’s grace.
“As a goalkeeper, I believe so much in God. It is only God who does these things. As the scripture says, the race is not for the swift or the strong but it is the Lord who shows mercy.
Nigeria will now play against Burkina Faso, who defeated Ghana 4-2 on penalty shoot-outs,can Enyeama win the long awaited Nations Cup trophy?
